MELANSON, LILY - 1925 - 2014 - Lily Melanson, 89, of Dawson Settlement and formerly of Lakeburn, NB, passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2014, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Memramcook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and the late Lina (née: LeBlanc) Bourgeois. Lily will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and a dear friend to all.
She is survived by her five children: Marguerite, Lorette, Jimmy, Anita and Denise; two step-children: Aurèle and Annette; one sister, Zita; one brother, Antoine; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Ovila LeBlanc in 1969; her 2nd husband, Clorice Melanson, two children: baby Richard and Aline; one step-son, Roger; two sisters: Anita and Ozithe; three brothers: Laurie, Aurèle and Léo, as well as one granddaughter.
No visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at 3 pm, with Pastor David Ross officiating.
