The death occurred at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary on Saturday
April 26th of Emma Teresa (Mills) MacWilliams, age 91, wife of the late
Boyd. Born July 17, 1922, on Valley Road, Cumb Co., NS, she was the
daughter of the late Oscar and Elva (Brown) Mills. Loving mother to her daughters; Sherran Brink (Holland); Linda (Don) Acker and Heather (Don) Cross of Sackville, NS and son Brian MacWilliams, Charlottetown. Dear grandmother to Ken Acker, Tracy (Greg) Acker-Canning, Ellen and Brian Brink, Jason Brison and six great-grandchildren. Emma taught school in Nova Scotia before she married her late husband Boyd MacWilliams where they lived and farmed on Trout River Road. She was active in WI, UCW, taught 4-H sewing, Community School and shared her baking with all. While they were well they enjoyed travelling, friends, family and dancing. Predeceased by her husband, an infant daughter Connie; sisters: Bertha, Vesta and Pearl and brothers: Dean, Don and Craig. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Tuesday April 29th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service on Wednesday April 30th at 1:30pm in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow Bloomfield United Church Cemetery. In memory of Emma, memorials to Bloomfield United Church Cemetery, O'Leary Community Health Foundation (Margaret Stewart Ellis Home) or Parkinsons Society would be appreciated.
