John 'Eric' Campbell

Passed away at his home in Barrie, Ontario on Monday, April 28, 2014.
Eric was in his 63rd year and the beloved husband of Cassandra Anderson of Verner.
Loving father of Bhreagha and Taylor Campbell both of Barrie. Eric is survived by his mother Irene (MacVicar) Campbell in Sydney for which he had such a great love and respect. He will be deeply missed by "Sis" Kathy Lavery in Coxheath with her husband Brian and their son Jack who was a special buddy. He was also big brother to Craig and his wife Brenda (Crouse) in Woodstock N.B., and their children, Cheryl in Toronto, Crystal in Calgary and John with his wife Kathy (Kilfoil) and their son Colby outside of Woodstock.
Eric was predeceased by his father John 'Diddy' Campbell, Emerson and 'Statia' Campbell from Sydney and Donald John and Mary Catherine MacVicar of Gabarus Lake.
Eric is survived by uncles Earl and Neil (Maria) MacVicar and predeceased by many uncles and aunts (Campbell’s, O’Dell’s, Tilley's and MacVicar’s).
Always there to help his family and friends; he will be dearly missed. Kindness, love and most of all family was how he lived. He will be missed by everyone he touched! His family all knew his love and especially "his girls" Bhreagha and Taylor.
He is in the arms of the angels now at peace.
Eric was cremated in Barrie and will at last get to return to the home he loved in Cape Breton. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Sydney River on Tuesday, May 6 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the same location. Eric will be interred at the Resurrection Cemetery alongside his father.
