Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony in his 87th year, Mr. Stewart Albert Patey of St. Anthony. Stewart was born to Meta and Noah Patey of St. Anthony. He was employed as a stationary engineer in St. Anthony and Labrador City from where he retired in 1990 and moved back to St. Anthony. Stewart was predeceased by his parents, son Wilfred, brothers Charles, Wilfred, Lloyd and Norman and sister Jessie. Left with their memories are wife Ida; son Charles (Kitty); daughter Eileen (Ralph); grandchildren David, Melissa and Jonathan; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Jack and Ella; brother Francis (Agnes), as well as other extended family. Visitation took place at K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony with Major Baggs officiating. Cremation followed the service with burial at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
