At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 9, 2014 of "David" Floyd Jay, of Summerside and formerly of Kinkora, aged 86 years.
Born in Mount Stewart, he was a son of the late Francis Jay and the late Eunice (MacIntyre) Jay.
Dave is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Cheverie) Jay, and the following sons and daughters: Wayne (Sandra), Freetown; Joseph (Joey) (Marcia), Summerside; Donna (Angus) Beck, Charlottetown; Maureen (George) Campbell, Park Corner; Kerry (Linda) Lacombe, Alberta; Colleen (John) Setter, Red Deer, Alberta; and Davey of Summerside. Brother of Paul, Deep River, Ontario; Kimble, Hamilton, Ontario; and Mary (Glen) Paterson, Covehead. Survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, Francis Jay and Eunice (MacIntyre) Jay; a brother, Frankie; and sisters, Leona, June and Natalie.
Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. No visitation by Dave's request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Malachy's Church, Kinkora, on Monday, May 12 at 10 a.m.
