LYNCH, ALICE H. - 1936 - 2014 - Miramichi - Alice Helen Lynch, widow of the late Leonard J. Lynch of Portage River and formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the age of 77. Born in Chatham on September 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stuart A. and Iva M. (Budd) Hay. She was a homemaker and a former co-owner of A&L Taxi; a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church; a former member of the Presbyterian Womens' League; a former member of the Chatham Lioness Club. She is survived by three daughters, Christina Gilliss, of Miramichi, Karen Thebeault (Paul), of Portage River and Sandra Daigle, of Miramichi; one sister, Lillian Nowlan, of Toronto, Ont.; one brother, James Hay (Rose), of Miramichi; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Hay, of Miramichi; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard, in 2006; two daughters, Catherine MacDonald and Donna McDermaid; one sister, Margaret McEacheron; three brothers, Lorne, George and Leslie Hay; one son in law, Stephen Gilliss.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Calvin Presbyterian Church, Miramichi, on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
