Ruth Isobel Brennan of Sydney, passed away after a brief illness, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late William and Isobel (MacDonald) Murray.
She was a longtime member of St. Theresa’s parish, Sydney. Ruth graduated from St. Martha’s School of Nursing and nursed at Sydney City Hospital 5th floor for more than 30 years. She was a very active person who enjoyed life and her family, either by cooking for them or travelling to see and be with them.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon (Alan) McDonald, Coxheath; sons, Tommy, Dartmouth; Jimmie, Hong Kong; Terry (Valerie), London, England; Nana is also survived by her loving grandchildren Mason and Emily; brother Bill Murray, Dartmouth and cousin Rosemary MacDonald, Kempt Head, N.S.
She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2006 and by her brother Joe.
There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. Brennan. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Theresa’s Church. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
