ALLISON, EDISON - The death of Edison Allison occurred on May 15, 2014 at the York Care Centre in Fredericton, NB, at the age of 89. Born in Newcastle, NB on March 31, 1925, he was the son of the late Ernest and Maude Allison. Edison was an avid farmer and a jack of all trades.
Edison is survived by his wife Glenna Allison; sons, Burton (Elaine) Allison of Duncan, BC, Merle Allison of Fredericton, NB, Ronald (Liza) Allison of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Bernice Allison of Fredericton, NB; Grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrick) Jost and Gregory (Ricki-Lee) Allison; Great-grandchild, Griffin Allison. Along with his parents, Edison was also pre deceased by his daughter, Delores Allison and brother, Howard Allison. The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff in tower 2 at the York care centre, 4E at the DECH, and Terraces on Cliffe.
Visitation will be held at McAdams Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 2 to 4pm. A visitation will also be held at Bells Funeral Home on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 2 to 4pm, with a funeral service and reception to follow. Pastor Jerome MacDonald will officiate .Interment will be at the Miramichi Cemetery. Donations in Edison’s memory can be made to the York Foundation, Fredericton SPCA, or Donor’s Choice.
