John Walker
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, May 15, 2014, of John Walker, of Summerside, aged 78 years.
Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Ernest and Minnie (Carruthers) Walker.
Survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Bowness) Walker; children, Julie Walker, Summerside; Jane (Hugh) McQuaid, Summerside; Johnnie, Summerside; Greg, Alberta; Carolyn Walker (Shelly Rowan), Halifax; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ellen MacDonald; Mary and Sarah McQuaid; Lindsay, Stephen, Justin and Jake Walker; Ben Gillis; great-granddaughter, Lydia Walker; sister, Evelyn Frank; brother, George Walker; and by a sister-in-law, Norma Walker.
Predeceased by brothers, Thomas, Kenneth and Neil Walker.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church, where funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Interment in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 6-9 p.m.
