SWEENEY, Richard "Dick" passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, in La Corey, Alberta. Dick is lovingly survived by his beloved wife of 56 years: Lillian Sweeney of La Corey, AB; three children, Roy Sweeney of Vancouver, BC; Rick (Lesley) Sweeney of La Corey, AB, Kimberley (Ayman) Hassan of Spruce Grove, AB; six grandchildren, Robert (Jackie), Reuben (B.J.), Ryan, Laura (J-F), Miriam, Zach; great-grandson, Benson; sister, Suann DeCoureey; brother, Murray Sweeney and sister-in-law Geraldine Sweeney.
Dick was predeceased by his parents: Roy & Vivian Sweeney; two sisters, Patricia & Sheila and brother, Rodney.
Funeral Service was Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 211, Cold Lake, AB, Reverend Stephen Sparks officiated. Interment to take place at a later date.
