Gladys Gillies
November 23, 1909 – May 17, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gladys Alba McTavish Gillies (Scotty) on May 17, 2014 at the age of 104. Gladys is survived by her daughter-in-law Arlaine Gillies; her grandchildren Jodi Balon (Merlin), Jeff Balon (Krista), Brock Gillies (Shelly), Mark Gillies; her great grandchildren Shaelyn Evans, Haghly & Andrew, Shala & Kadan O’Neil and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Gillies; her daughter Gwen Balon; her son Rob Gillies; her son-in-law Dave Balon; her five sisters and their spouses. Gladys was a lifetime member of St. Pauls Presbyterian Church and was a member of Golden Links Rebekah Lodge for 86 years. Gladys’ most important lifetime achievement was 5 generations of her family whom she loved dearly. She is loved and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend George Yando officiating.
