VAUTOUR, YVON - (1933 - 2014) - ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB - Yvon Vautour of St. Louis de Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at the age of 80. Born in St. Ignace, he was the son of the late Arthur Vautour and late Marie (Barrieau) Vautour. Before his retirement he worked at General Motors in Oshawa, Ontario and then he was also self-employed as a cement floor finisher. He leaves behind his wife Germaine, a son Roger (Cécile), a daughter Nancy (Daniel) all of St. Louis, three grandchildren Crystal, Joey, Joshua and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, Aurèle (Jeannette), Louis (Emilienne), Albert (Céline), Robert (Géraldine), Gérard (Géraldine), Gemma (Abel), Zita (late Hypolite), Gilberte (late Armand) as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Paul, two brothers Pierre and Jacques and a sister Irène.
Visitation will be at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Thursday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
