Edith Annie McIver, age 95, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Swift Current Care Centre, Swift Current, SK. Edith was born on February 19, 1919, at home on the family farm, in the Hazlet District. She took her schooling at the nearby Idaho School. In July 1940, Edith married Donald McIver, who farmed in the nearby district with his two sons. After Don’s passing, she moved to BC and enjoyed her home in the Okanogan Valley until 2008, when she returned to Swift Current where she lived until her passing. Edith is survived by her stepson, Archie (Dorothy) McIver - grandson, Don and granddaughter, Gail (Fred); her stepdaughter-in-law, Velma - four grandchildren, Erin (Cam), John (Lanny), Christopher, Kate (Marc); and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Don McIver, December 22, 1976; her stepson, John McIver, October 29, 1975; her parents, Claude & Myrtle Wells; her brothers, Bill, Guy, Marvin; and by her sisters, Lila and Ruby.
The Graveside Service was held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 1:00 pm from Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Alex Allan officiating.
