It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on June 3, 2014, at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Sampsonville, N.S., he was a son of the late James and Ethel (Digout) Fougere.
Alex is survived by his loving mother, Ethel; daughters, Wilma (Clifford), Charmain (late Bob); sons, Rodney (Patsy), Floyd (Fonda), Cheyne (Sheri); brothers, Dan, John, Peter, Tommy; sister, Evelina; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, James; wife, Isabelle and sister, Anita.
Cremation has taken place. Family will meet friends at the River Bourgeois Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 10th from 2-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11 in the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s with Rev. Lamey officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital or to the Stroke Unit of St. Martha’s Hospital.
