It is with deep regret that we the family announce the passing of Robert Leon on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Westmount, he was the son of Mrs. Edith (Tobin) Leon and the late Alfred Leon.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his best friend and companion, Elaine DeYoung, his children, Tonya Leon (Andrew Wall), Robert 'Rob' Jr. Leon, both of Glace Bay, Darrel Leon, Toronto, Ont., sisters, Jeanette (Melvin) Neville, Whitney Pier, Diane Carson, Sydney, brother, Butch Leon, L'ardoise, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Kenny Carson, sister-in-law, Phyllis Leon.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Westmount.
