Robert Roy Hubley

­27 November 1936 – 3 June 2014
Retired Warrant Officer Royal Canadian Signal Corps with five NATO and United Nations tours of duty and with the Airborne Regiment (1953–1980), after retirement he then joined Corrections Canada spending a further 17 years at Collins Bay Institution in Kingston, Ontario.
Survived by loving wife Dag of 55 years, daughter Lyn Marie and grandson Jordan Douglas; daughter Kelly Kristine, husband Lindsay and grandchildren, Tessa Josephine and Ilyana Dagmar; sisters: Florence Mae Haggerty (Harold, deceased), Montreal, QC, Laura Jean Smith, Campbell River, BC; Ellen Marie Collins (John deceased), Halifax, NS; Olive Karen Smith, New Glasgow, NS; Carol Ann Hubley, Westville, NS; Linda Joyce Pellerin, Westville, NS; Nancy Arlene MacKenzie (Gordon), Westville, NS; Deborah Francis Cameron (Arnie), Westville, NS; Vera Dagmar Hubley (Doug Mason), Westville, NS; brothers: Aaron Cecil (Sandra), New Glasgow, NS; George William (Sherry), Corunna, ON; Harold Wayne (Sharon), Medicine Hat, AB; Ceryl Scott (Anna Jean) Westville, NS; Kenneth Bryan (Rhona), Salem, NS.
Predeceased by: parents Jamieson Roy Hubley and Mary Ann Eliza Dakens, sister Mary Catherine Skidmore (Herbie deceased) and brother Gordon John.
Deep gratitude and special thank you to our palliative team: Dr. Hota and Dr. Stewart, Nurses Vera and Faye from CBI, and the wonderful team of PSW’s from St. Elizabeth.
There will be no viewing or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society or the Signallers Club of Canada.
