It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Howard Little at the Summerset Manor, Summeride on Sunday, June 29th in his 83rd year. Norm was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on October 17th 1931, an only child to his parents Lorne and Alice (nee Raymond) Little. Beloved husband of 57 years to Donna (nee Wilson) Little and loving father of Terry (Jane) of Fergus ON., Judy (Clow) Little of Lot 16, and Troy (Brenda) of Charlottetown. Special Grampie to Jeremy, Tyler, Lori-Anne, Joshawa, Alicen, Hayden and Nathan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Norm joined the Air Force in 1953 and stationed in Summerside, Cold Lake, Germany and Sherwater. He returned to Summerside in 1985 and retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Norm built his first home on Lily Crescent and his second one on Linda Drive. He spent many hours in his workshop building almost anything. A perfectionist in all that he did, whether it be woodworking, art work, skeet shooting, bowling, darts or playing horseshoes, he passed his talents along to his children. Norm was a member of the St. Eleanors Lions Club for 26 years. He provided leadership through various board positions. He was passionate about helping to organize Christmas parties for the blind and the handicapped. “Best party of the year” he would say! Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday for a funeral service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Norm’s memory to the Alzheimers Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Summerside Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 will hold a Service of Remembrance on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
