Fort Fairfield, Maine – Sylvia T. Sherwood, 68, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening June 28, 2014 at a Presque Isle, Maine healthcare facility. She was born March 3, 1946 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Rita (Fitzgerald) Jacquard. She attended school in Yarmouth, N.S. including St. Anne du Ruisseau Catholic High School. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, baking and crafts, including knitting and quilting. She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by two sons, Scott and Eric Sherwood, both of Fort Fairfield; one brother, Charles Jacquard Jr.; three sisters, Annette Murphy, Delores Amero and her husband Rocky, and Marie Smith, all of Nova Scotia; three grandchildren, Shane, Hailey and Amber Sherwood; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, services will be private for the family. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Sylvia to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
