Florence Ethel Simmons, in her 100th year, passed away June 21, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late George Louis Simmons and Catherine Murchison. Florence was the last surviving member of the Simmons family of Simmons Farm on Spring Park Road. She was predeceased by her brother, Lewis, and sister, Patricia Matheson.
A private funeral service was held at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Interment took place at The People's Cemetery as per Florence's wishes. There will be a concert scheduled for a later date to honour her legacy of giving and to celebrate her life.
