Warren Bymoen age 52 years of Swift Current, Saskatchewan died on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current after a short battle with cancer.
He was born at Swift Current, Saskatchewan on June 21, 1962. He received his education at Admiral School at Admiral, Saskatchewan. He obtained his 1A license in 1984 and started work for Mobile Paving in Swift Current in the spring of that same year. He married Dorene Envik in 1988 and they later divorced in 1994. Warren started working for the City of Swift Current in May 1992 as a seasonal labourer. He was promoted to Permanent Labourer in February 1993, to Skilled Labourer in March 1994 and then to his current position as Equipment Operator A in July 1996. He raced Stock Cars with Speedy Creek Racing Association from 1999 to 2006. He was a member of the Eliminators Car Club for fifteen years and served for a couple of years as President. His hobby was guns and he enjoyed hunting. He was a good curler, starting in High School and curled for a few years in the Swift Current Square Draw. He enjoyed motorcycle tours with friends.
Warren was predeceased by his father Gordon in 2006, his grandparents Frank Dunham in 2006, Frances Dunham in 2007, Art Bymoen in 1990 and Irene Bymoen in 1986 and two uncles Bill Bymoen in 2005 and Lloyd Bymoen in 2013.
He is survived by his daughter Tamaira Bymoen (Dawson James) of Calgary and his son Jarric Bymoen of Sherwood Park, Alberta, his mother Shirley Bymoen (Rod Baxter) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, his brother Craig Bymoen (Betty Ann) of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, his niece Brandi Bymoen (Derek Rafa) of Medicine Hat and his nephew Byron Bymoen of Medicine Hat, the mother of his children Dorene as well as by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services were held at the Simmie Community Hall in Simmie, Saskatchewan on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Celebrant Bernadette Schneider officiating. Jarric Bymoen was the urn bearer and ushers were Dave Reierson, Gary Wagner, Calvin Bymoen and Ross Gulka. Dana Zacharuk presented the eulogy. Interment of his cremated remains took place at Klara Cemetery, Simmie, Saskatchewan. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
