The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, of Sterling Thompson, of Belmont Lot 16, aged 92 years.
Born in Lot 16, he was the son of the late Seymour and Margaret (MacLeod) Thompson.
Survived by his wife, Bertie (Dawson) Thompson; children, Brenda (Faron) Stetson, Blair (Debbie) Thompson, Nancy Simpkins (Jake Baird), Valerie (Randy) Birch; step-children, Kevin Yeo, Joan (Carl) Barlow, Sandra (Charles) Moore, Kent (Susan) Yeo; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and by sister-in-law, Muriel Thompson.
Predeceased by his first wife, Doris (Adams) Thompson; brothers, Ray, Wilfred, Earl, Elmer and Carl, in infancy; and by a sister, Hazel Chappell.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
