It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theodore W. Sheppard “Ted” announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit on Saturday July 5, 2014 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters: Kay Young (Wayne), Betty Best (Malcolm); grandchildren: Trudy, Shelly; great grandchildren Zoe, James; brother Lowell Sheppard (Betty); nieces and nephews: Benjamin Butler (Regina), Wade Butler (Susan), Lowell Butler, Eugene Sheppard, Ivan Sheppard (Tracy), Dianne Lovell (Forward), Karen Quinlan (Dennis), also a large circle of extended relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lucy & Leon Sheppard; sister Marion Butler; and brother Aubrey Sheppard. Friends may visit the St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Monday July 7, 2014 and on Tuesday July 8, 2014 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where funeral service will take place on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at 2 pm officiated by Reverend Charlene Laing, with interment to follow at church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Theodore’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
