(December 12, 1941 - July 5, 2014)
Peacefully, with his family by his side, George passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, age 72.
He is survived by his children, Gordon (Marnie) Dixon of Kingston, P.E.I., Wendy Carriere (Vince Grienti) of Ottawa, Ont., Cathy (Paul) Burnell of Bedford, N.S., Debbie Dixon (Lawrence Boulter) of Bedford, P.E.I., Robert (Renee) Dixon of Fort McMurray, Alta., George Dixon (Tara Bernard) of New Haven, P.E.I., and Leone Dixon of Stratford, P.E.I. Also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Doucette, Olivia Dixon, Daniel Mosher, Grace Dixon and Blake Dixon; brother, Gage (Heather) Dixon.
He was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Olive (nee Ferguson) Dixon and his stepmother, Myrtle Dixon (nee Livingston).
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Burnside Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Clyde River. Visiting hours on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
