Mom was born in Lomond, Bonne Bay. She grew up in Deer Lake, worked as secretary at Bowaters Power Plant and has the distinction of being the first woman to work at the site. My parents were married for over 60 years and together they served in different communities around Newfoundland and Labrador, mother being church organist and dad with the RCMP. She will be greatly missed.
