It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Catherine Meservey (Midge) announce her passing on July 9, 2014 at the Brookfield Hospital in New-Wes-Valley, NL at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters; Judy, Marian (Raymond), Sandra (Terry), Linda, Cathy (Glen); sons: Arthur Jr., Walter (Tammy); 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Arthur (Bud) Messervey; parents Walter & Jane Ruth. Visitation will take place from St. Joseph’s Parish in St. George’s on Saturday July 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 and Sunday from 12-2p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Internment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St. George’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
