ACTON, William Thomas – 88 passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Timmins, Ontario to the late Earl Acton and Mary (Docker) Acton on February 26, 1926. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Olive (Woolley) Acton; a son, William Harry Acton and a sister, Romaine. He is survived by three children, John Thomas Acton, Brampton, Ont., Judith (Acton ) Leach, Barrington Passage; Susan Acton, Hamilton, Ont.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. He was a partner and caregiver to the late Josephine Ruth Goodwin for the last 10 years of his life. His wish was to be cremated and no service. The family would like to thank the Yarmouth Regional Hospital and the Roseway Hospital, Shelburne for the excellent care he received, and all the friends that visited him while he was in the hospital.
