It is with tremendous sadness the family of Gordon Reid announces his sudden passing at the age of 72. Gordon died suddenly in a tragic boating accident on July 19, 2014. Gordon leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Belinda Reid (nee Gear). Gordon will be forever missed by his daughter Lucy Reid (John Brown); son Arthur (Janette); grandchildren: Nicole (Melvin), Gordon (Heather), Ronny, Alysha, Grant, Alicia, Kathleen and Greg; great grandchildren: Desmond, Kathleen, Nickolas, Harmony and Lantis; brother Dougal (Sarah); sister Lucy (Bill deceased); brother-in-law John (Inez), sisters-in-law Doris (Baxter), Mildred (Gordon) and Myrtle. Gordon will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, great Aunt Cecilia George, as well as a large circle of family and friends living in Ontario and Newfoundland. Gordon is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Madeline, three brothers, two sisters, and two sister-in-laws. Cremation has occurred and visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 23 from 12:00-1:45 p.m. at The Church Hall of St. Cyprian and St. Mary on Bell Island, immediately followed by a church service at 2:00 p.m. May the songs of the angels guide you home.
