It is with saddened hearts that we regret to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Gregory Joseph MacDonald passed away peacefully Monday July 21, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his family by his side.
Greg was born in Sydney, he was the son of the late James and Margaret MacDonald.
Greg was a long time employee of Electrolux and really enjoyed his hobbies especially gardening.
He was survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jean (LeBlanc) and his son, Sean (Ann Marie) and his four grandchildren, Mark, Nicole, Victoria and Anthony. He is also survived by his six sisters, Annie, Chris, Helen, Fran, Katie and Margie and his brother, Kenny
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary; brothers, Alex, John, Angus, Jim and Vince.
A special thank you to Verna, Heather and Sandra for all your help over the past few weeks.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Private family burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
