Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family on July 26, 2014, Mrs. Mary Victoria Moores of Flowers Cove in her 79th year. Mary is survived by her children Matt (Sandra), Ethel (Brad), Alma, Bruce, Kay (Dennis), Arlene (Henry), Harris (Tish), Randy (Ruby) and Dennis (Tracey); 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Alma; brother Wallace (Rhea); sisters Lettie, Gladys (Wayne) and Linda (Jim) as well as nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Wilson Moores, her father George W. Diamond, mother-in-law Rachel Rose, brothers-in-law Marmaduke and Albert Edwin Moores. Visitation took place at the United Church in Flowers Cove, from where the funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
