Barbara Dawson Smith Steeves, 98, of Florida Presbyterian Homes, Lakeland, FL, passed away on July 15, 2014. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Richard G. and Mabel Smith. She married Rev. Francis Kenneth Steeves on December 9, 1936. She is survived by her son, Richard (Norma) Steeves, of Shelby, NC, three grandsons, a granddaughter, two great-grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Samuel Steeves, daughter, Charen El-Sherif, and son-in-law, Dr. Helmy H. El-Sherif. A memorial Service was held on July 22, 2014, at Florida Presbyterian Homes. The bodies of both Barbara and her husband are interred at New Bedford Cemeteries, Fall River, Massachusetts.
