PICKETT, Emma Ethel – 82, formerly of Centreville. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at The Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John’s. Predeceased by parents John and Gertrude March, sisters: Margaret Blackmore, Lena Ackerman, Idella Collins and Daphne Pritchett; grandson Jason Pickett and sister-in-law Margaret March (MEL). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband Alfred; son Alfred Junior (Sadie) of St. John’s; daughter Nita Brenton (Watson) of Centreville; brothers: Maxwell March (Mildred), John March (Emily) all of Centreville and Lloyd March of Blairmore, Alberta; sisters: Emily Feltham (Theo) of Stephenville and Elizabeth Gibbons (Samuel) of Trinity; grandchildren: Jerome Brenton of Fort McMurray, Tina Waterman of Mount Pearl and Jonathan Pickett of Rainbow Lake, Alberta; great-grandchildren: Jeremy Brenton of Fort McMurray and Shawna and Jason Waterman of Mount Pearl, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service took place on Friday, January 2 from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Hall officiating. Interment followed from the Anglican Cemetery, Centreville.
