NICKERSON, Josephine Ruby, - age 96, of Bay Side Home in Barrington, passed away on August 5, 2014 at Bay Side Home. Born July 30, 1918 in Lower Argyle, Yarmouth Co., N.S. she was a daughter to the late Clarence and Margaret (Goodwin) Scott. Josephine was a member of the Argyle High Horizons and attended Argyle Christian Assembly. She is survived by her husband, Merton, Pubnico; daughter, Deanna (JosephineNazaire Muise), Abrams River; sons, Bruce (Kathy) Nickerson, Toronto; Fran Nickerson, Brampton, ON; sisters, Nancy Wood, Oregon USA, Sylvia Allen, Tucson Arizona ; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Besides her parents Josephine was predeceased by brother, Ivan, Carl, Malcolm, and Donald; sisters, Beatrice Hayes and Mary Smith; daughter in law, Peggy. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Harold Smith officiated. Interment followed in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
