With great sadness we announce the passing of Jo on July 1st.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Al Weir, in 1984.
Survived by her children: Dolores Morin (Brian), Sandra Armitage (Dennis), Mike Weir (Lynn), and Debbie Bennett (Ken); her grandchildren: Kim, Kevin, Kerry, Kris, Stephen, Adam, Sarah, David, Derek and Jessica; her great grandchildren: Charlie, Tom, Ted, May and Yale. Jo was born in Manitoba, one of seven children.
She married her childhood sweetheart and they raised four children in Dawson Creek. Jo was a respected Registered Nurse. After retiring to Victoria (1979) she enjoyed: bridge, old-time dancing, line dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Jo was an inspiration to all with her love of life and her positive outlook. She will be missed but her love will live on.
Funeral Service and Celebration Tea was held Tuesday, July 8th, Esquimalt United Church.
