STEWART, DORIS GLADYS - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Doris Gladys Stewart announces her death on August 6, 2014 at the Central NB Nursing Home in Boiestown, NB, with her children by her side. Born on December 18, 1919 in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Harriet (Handley) O’Donnell. Doris was a member of the Anglican Church Women and a Life Member of the Women’s Institute. Doris is survived by her daughter, Olga Ross (Waldo) of Boiestown, NB; son, Charles E. Stewart (Gail) of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Beverley Stewart (Daphne), Karen McAleer (Bobby), Coralee Stewart, and Kelly Charters; great-grandchildren, Haley Stewart, Morgan Stewart, Laura McAleer, Jeremy McAleer, April Charters and Kristy Charters; great-great-grandson, Chandler Stewart-Ripley; sister, Mabel O’Donnell of McNamee, NB; brothers, William O’Donnell (Martha) of McNamee, NB and Gilbert O’Donnell (Carol) of McNamee, NB; sister-in-law, Zelda O’Donnell; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Tennyson Stewart and her parents, Doris was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Clowater and Mina Cook and her brother, Eric O’Donnell; brothers-in-law, Doyle O’Donnell and Wilbur Cook.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. James the Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow, NB on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating, assisted by Pastor J.A. Treese and Rev. Patti Armstrong. Interment will take place in St. James Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Central N.B Nursing Home “Court Yard Fund” or the charity of the donor’s choice.
