(November 5, 1934 - August 7, 2014) Passed away peacefully at St. Patrick's Mercy Home in the presence of her loving husband Derm Shano. Predeceased by her precious daughter Joanne Marie Shano (1984, age 18), parents Roderick and Mable Moores and sisters Minnie Parsons (Joseph), and Linda Goodyear (Newman). Leaving to mourn her loss, husband Derm Shano and daughters Sharon Alexander (Peter), Calgary and Donna LeShano-Cote (Paul), Ottawa; grandchildren Kelsey and Ryan Alexander. Annie will be missed and leaves happy memories with her siblings, Joan Wicks (Ernie), Marion Hennebury (Ernest), Charles Moores (Sharon), John Moores (Judy) and Theresa Moores. Annie also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews, her friends at the Shaw Street Seniors Complex, where she lived for many years and her friends at St. Pat's. A special thank-you to all the staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home where Annie lived for the past four years. Annie endured many significant health issues over the last 10 years, and she battled through all of them without complaint. She loved to read, history in particular, and every book she could get about Newfoundland. She loved Badger's Quay and always thought of it as her home. She had a special place in her heart for all members of her family, and loved to be surrounded by them with pictures everywhere. Celebration of life at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, visitation on Sunday, August 9, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm and Monday 10am-noon. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 10, 2014 at 2pm from Caul's Chapel. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
