1927-2014. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 7, 2014, Mrs. Alice (Ward) Mercer of Coley's Point, aged 87 years. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Charlotte (Young)Ward, Snug Harbour, Labrador, husband Calvin Mercer, daughter Bonnie Mercer; brothers: Ray (Emmie) Ward, Charlie Ward, Joseph Ward and Donald Ward; sister Rita (Alfred) Andrews; son-in-law Graham Snow. Leaving to mourn son Ward (Carole) Mercer; daughters: Judy (Scott) Knee and Faith Snow; grandchildren: Bradley (Kristan), Crystal (Gary), Amanda (Jason), Andrew (Sarah); great grandchildren: Madison, Kathryn, Lauren, Mackenzie, Austin, Jaxon; sister-in-law Sadie Ward. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach with visitation on Friday: 7 - 9 PM, Saturday: 2 - 4 PM: 7 - 9 PM and Sunday: 10 - 12 Noon. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Clarke's Beach United Church with Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Bareneed.
