Robert Jardine, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, Dec. 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Sarah Jardine also of North Sydney. Robert passed away in the same manner as he lived his life, very quiet and peacefully.
Robert was a resident of Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford, since 2012; and prior to calling Maple Hill Manor his home, he lived at the Terrace Manor, in Glace Bay for over 25 years. Robert was a very gentle soul, who enjoyed his friendships and life’s most simple pleasures.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially by his extended family at Maple Hill Manor and Terrace Manor.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A funeral service officiated by Deacon Leo Penney, celebrating Robert’s life, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at 11 a.m., in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
