CORMIER, EDGAR (GAGAR) -1940 - 2014 - Edgar (Gagar) Cormier, 74, of Bouctouche, passed away at the CHU Dumont in Moncton, on Sunday August 10, 2014. He was married to Loretta (Williams) Cormier. Born in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Fidèle and the late Marie (Richard) Cormier. Prior to his retirement Edgar had been employed for a number of years at the U of M as a security guard. He was also a great fan of the Montreal Canadians Hockey Team. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Loretta, his children; Monique Fillmore (Scott) of Sussex, Réjean (Lindsey) of Hoyt, NB and Jean-Charles (Linda) of Bouctouche, his seven grandchildren; Connor, Madeline, Kadeyn, Sheila, Imogene, Julien and Danika. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Alida Cormier (Ulric) of Cocagne, Irène Desroches of Dieppe and Thérèse Bourque (Daniel) of Saint-Marcel and several nieces and nephews. Edgar was predeceased by four sisters; Aline, Rita, Yvonne and Edith and by three brothers; Arsène (tisene), Edmond (timon) and Gérard (lalard).
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Cathlic Church Slumber Room in Cocagne, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Pierre Church on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 4:00pm. In Edgar's memory a donation can be made to the CHU Dumont foundation.
