It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Darlene House (nee King). Darlene passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre at the age of 58 years, on Sunday, August 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Mary King (nee Donovan) and Walter King; brothers Alan Joseph and John. Darlene is survived by her children Michael (Eileen), Tyler, Judy and Chantalle; her six grandchildren Alicia, Brady, Janine, Krista, Madison and Michael; six sisters Barbara, Maureen, Patsy, Bonnie, Liz (Pearcey) and Charmaine (Jeff); three brothers Walter (Lorraine), Robert and Gary. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, step father Frank and Aunt Kay and family; Special friends Jean Price, Joan, Don and Roz Carew and family, Colleen Barrington, Cathy Snow, Nicole, Anne and Gord Kennedy, Debbie Bartlett and family, Paul Eddy, Basil Ryan and Kelly Parsley. Special thanks to the Doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit who took such great care of Darlene. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
