John Alexander MacDonald (Johnny Alec),born Sept 25, 1923, passed away three years ago today (Aug 16, 2011) in the early morning hours, true to his community service focus as evidenced through his many years with the GBVFD (30+), Boy Scouts Canada (20+) & the S&L Railroad Museum; Johnny’s last act of community volunteering was perhaps his biggest, donating his mortal remains to Dalhousie University for Medical Research. Now, three years later his final work is completed & his remains have been returned & interred (July 28, 2014). We, his family, can now complete our grief process. Rest peacefully Dad your work here is done.
