It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Catherine Darlene MacDonald of Hinton, Alberta, and formerly of Souris, P.E.I., on Feb. 17, 2010, in Hinton, Alberta, at the age of 50 years.
Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Paul Winsor, of Hinton, Alberta; her children: daughter, Laura MacDonald Winsor, and son, Chad MacDonald Winsor, both of Hinton, Alberta. Also surviving are her siblings; Danny (Anne) MacDonald and family of Sudbury, Ontario; Dave (Annette) MacDonald and family of Hinton, Alberta; Mary (Robert) McPhee and family, Barb (Richard) O\'Keefe and family of Souris, P.E.I.; and Jean (Steve) Kimpton and family of Charlottetown, P.E.I. Catherine was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Gertrude, in 1993, and her father, Angus James, in 1989, as well as her sister, Mildred MacDonald, in 1966, all of Little Harbour, P.E.I.
Following cremation at Foothills Crematorium, a memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton, Alberta, with Father Brian Inglis, Celebrant. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Hinton, Alberta.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests donations be made to the Hinton General Hospital (Cancer Clinic), 1280 Switzer Drive, Hinton, Alberta - T7V 1V2 in memory of Catherine Darlene MacDonald.
