Ridgway, Glenda


Glenda Maureen (Ryhorchuk) Ridgway, 55 of Hatfield, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Saturday, August 9, 2014. She was the beloved wife of lan Ridgway to whom she has been married to for over 31years.


Born February 22, 1959 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of Gordon Ryhorchuk and the late Dorothy (Thompson) Ryhorchuk.


Glenda was an inspiration to all of us with her selfless caring nature, always wanting to help so many others. She loved to cook, bake and entertain friends and family whether at home or away. She enjoyed many things such as taking care of her yard and garden as well as sports including football, hockey and snowmobiling. Special thanks to her many close friends on Harvest Moon Lane who were so supportive while she battled through her illness. Extra special thanks to Lora Crowley, Mellissa Hewitt, Amy White and Darcy Phillips who spent tireless hours at her side.


In addition to her husband and father she is survived by her siblings Marilyn Ryhorchuk of Saskatchewan, Darrell Ryhorchuk of Alberta, and Duane Ryhorchuk of Saskatchewan. She also has several nephews and nieces.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11AM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.) PA 18969, where friends may call to greet the family from 10-11AM.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Humane Society
