Husband, father, brother, grampy, friend. Ron Boyles, aged 68, passed peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the early hours of August 12, 2014, after a brief illness.
Ron was the loving husband of Carol (nee Kelley) and dear father of Wil (Kelly), John (Kathy), and Wendy (Chris). He was also the very proud grandfather of Dylan, Cameron, Emma and Lucas MacDonald, Steven and Jack Boyles, and Katelyn Boyles. Brother to Joan (David) and Ann (Stephen), and son of the late Fran and Bill Boyles.
"Chopper" to his friends young and old, Ron was well known in the golfing community. He was retired from a long professional career as a well-respected optician and owner of Boyles Optical. Ron will be missed by all his family and many friends.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 3 p.m. from Spring Park United Church. A reception and time of visitation will follow from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the church gymnasium.
