MUISE, Pauline Marion – age 93 of Yarmouth, passed away at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 11, 2014. Born in Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., N.S. on February 6, 1921 she was a daughter of the late François and Leónisse (Clairmont) Doucette. Pauline was a member of the St. Ambrose Cathedral Parish. At a young age her family moved to Cedar Lake, Yarmouth County where she grew up. In 1943 she married her “Dear Sweet” (as she called him) Walter Muise. They lived in Camp Borden Ontario until Walter went overseas and then Pauline returned to live in Dayton with her infant daughter at Walter’s parents. They raised their family of 7 children in Brooklyn Yarmouth County. Later they built a new home in Beaver River where she enjoyed one of her greatest gifts from Walter, her gorgeous lily pond. They then moved back to Yarmouth in 1994. Most recently she lived at Gentle Care Seniors Home. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent home maker and took pride in doing everything well. We are especially proud of several hand braided rugs that are still being enjoyed. Besides her family and home, her greatest passion was her beautiful flower gardens which were part of all her homes. She is survived by daughters, Eunice Muise; Sylvia (Charles) Killam; Virginia (David) Sherman; Doreen (Neil) Everett; Janice (Paul) Kennedy; Carol Louise Wallis; son, Gregory (Bernadette) Muise; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Besides her parents Pauline was predeceased by her Loving Walter; sisters; Viola Bourque, Cerena Deveau, Angelina (Angie) Babin, Rose Marie (Rosie) Deveau; brother, John Doucette; half sisters, Leah Deveau, Frances Deveau; and half brother, Emery Doucette and grandson Andrew Neil Deblois Everett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. from St. Ambrose Cathedral, Father Gerald David officiated.
