It is with shocked and heavy hearts we announce that on August 10, 2014 our beloved Steve passed away suddenly surrounded by his family at the age of 54 years in Edmonton, Alberta. He will be forever missed and loved by his family; wife, Judy; parents, Bride and Emmett; step-children, Mitchell (Courtney) and Jillian; six siblings, Sean (Mitch), Joan, Bren, Sharon (Rob) Dekker, Ellen and Michele; nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Kaegan, Shane, Mark, Luke, Jenny, Michael and Josh; as well as numerous extended family and friends. In keeping with Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place in Edmonton, AB. A Memorial Celebrating Steve's life will take place on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Patrick's Church, Carbonear, NL. Another Celebration of Steve's Life will take place in Edmonton, AB at a later date. Steve always made a conscientious effort to help, in his words, "those who are less fortunate than ourselves".
