November 4, 1919 - August 9, 2014 It is with heavy hearts the family of the late Patrick Joseph Gardiner (Paddy) announce his peaceful passing on 9th day August at the St. Luke's Nursing Home in St. John's. Mr. Patrick Gardiner of Conche was in his 94th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons Martin (Patsy), Bernie (Paula), Pat (Paula), Daughters Madeline, Eileen (Troy), and Maureen (Gale), Grandchildren Robert, Stephen, Sheldon, Darren, Dwayne, Jenny, Jacinta, Bernard, Brady, Alexis, Andre, Michael, Cody, Megan, Candace, and Matthew, Great Grandchildren Brandon, Alex, Carter and Theo, Brother Ronald (Lucy), Sisters Susie (Pad), Agatha and Sister Zita, Special friends Gertie Carroll, Lucy Gardiner, Nell Byrne, and Marie Byrne, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mary (Tobin), his father Bernard, mother Mariah, Brothers Jack, Frank, Gerald, Cecil and Sister Bridget. Visitation was held at the Scared Heart Parish in Conche from which the funeral mass was held a t 2:00pm on the 12th day of August 2014 with Fr. Vitus Echedo officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.
