Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Science Centre on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Augustus (Gus) Fanning age 73 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 52 years Verena; his children Steve (Anne) Katie and Christina; Craig (Diane) Patrick, Rebecca and Julianna; Lynn (Marc) Beaudoin, Erin, Matthew and Nicholas; Barbara (Murray) Brooker, Andrew and Meaghan; Augustus; Bill (Colleen) Danielle and Sarah; Sean, Vanessa; His faithful companion Sasha; sister Barbara as well as a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or flowers by request. A family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

His weary hours and days of pain,
His troubled nights are past;
And in our aching hearts we know,
He has found sweet rest at last.
