Born in St. John's, NL on July 29, 1927. Passed peacefully away after a brief illness on July 30th, 2014. Predeceased by parents Jacob & Bertha Attwood, NL., sisters: Nita & Ron Crabbe, NS., Louise & Bruce Austin, NL., brother Bill (Rema) NL., and son William Coolen (Sue), NS. Leaving to mourn: daughter: Janis Anne Michie, NS., sons Douglas Coolen, NS., (Chris), and Scott James (Jenn). Sisters: Inez Keeping (Roy), Joyce Kelsey (Roger), Barbara Bursey (Jim), Joan Miller (Roy), and Judy Hodder. Brothers: Cyril Attwood (Jan), and Gerald Attwood (Muriel). Grandchildren: Phillip Michie (Nicola), Craig Michie (Karine) and James Michie (Heather), David, Sherri-Lynn, Ashley & Adam Coolen. Also several great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to United Memorial Church, Kaye St., Halifax, NS. Cremation has taken place.
