Faye Legassie

LEGASSIE, FAYE ELIZABETH - FAYE ELIZABETH LEGASSIE passed away peacefully at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home on Friday, August 15th, 2014 at 81. Faye was born in Chipman, on April 21st, 1933, daughter of the late Goldie and Margaret (Hickey) Knox. She is survived by daughters, Donna (Raye) Murray of Briggs Corner and Kelly Legassie of Harvey; sisters, Juanita Jaillet of Moncton, Annette (Albert) White of Chipman and Betty (Stanley) Wood of Chipman; brothers, Sydney (Bonnie) of Saint John, John (Donna) of Cumberland Bay, Harold (Cathy) of Ontario, Melvin of Chipman, Burns of North Forks, Edward of Minto and Ricky (Yvonne) of Chipman; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Brad and Jordon Legassie; 4 great -grandchildren, Isabella, Sydney, Devon and Allie; many nieces ad nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald in 1990; infant daughter, Carolann; sisters, Evelyn Northrup and Maxine Knox; brother, Kenneth Legassie.
Family will receive comfort at the Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. (339-6612) on Sunday, August 17th, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A service of remembrance will be held from the Fundamental Baptist Church, Chipman on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bert Keuhner and Rev. Joel Hoyt officiating. Interment will be in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Faye can be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are in the professional care of Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium.
