Myrtle M. French (nee Mugford)

Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's, in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, August 16, 2014, Myrtle French, just a few days short of her 97th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Oswald in October of 1992; her sisters: Betty and Ada; and her brother William. Left to mourn with loving memories are her son Rodney; precious grandson Adam, and his wife Kim; sister-in-law Phyllis Mercer of Bay Roberts; dear nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a number of special family friends including wonderful neighbours on Whiteley Drive in Mount Pearl. Mom was so deserving, and was introduced to what can only be described as among the best people on earth to gently help her along her final journey. We wish to acknowledge with sincere gratitude and appreciation her extended family on floors 3 East and North at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, of whom precious memories will remain eternal. Also a special thank you to her earlier home care family, Debbie and Carol, for their tender loving care. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Sunday, August 17, from 7-9pm, and on Monday, August 18, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from First United Church, Mount Pearl, on Tuesday, August 19, at 2:00pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or, donations in Mom's memory may be made to St. Patrick's Mercy Home or First United Church.
